Please Complete the PCR-3 Parent Survey by December 3
We are conducting our annual parent survey to gather feedback on strengths of the District, as well as areas to consider for growth. Your input is important and will be considered when making future decisions. If you have not already completed the survey, we ask that you complete the survey by clicking here. If you have more than one student, please be sure to answer those questions for each building. The survey should take approximately fifteen minutes to complete.
If you have already completed the survey, you can continue to participate in the Thought Exchange comment section, by clicking here. Participants share thoughts, then rate thoughts shared by others to create themes and help the District prioritize next steps. We encourage you to revisit this exchange and rate additional thoughts as they are entered. We will close the survey and Thought Exchange on Friday, December 3, 2021. Thank you in advance for your feedback!
November Counselor Information
Counselors utilize the Missouri Counseling standards to guide their instruction, as well as supplemental materials such as the MindUP Curriculum. MindUp curriculum focuses on mindful attention centering on conscious awareness of the present moment. By focusing our attention and controlling our breath, we can learn to reduce stress and optimize the learning capacity of the brain. The use of these practices in MindUP is informed by leading-edge research in the fields of developmental cognitive neuroscience, mindfulness training, social and emotional learning and positive psychology. As we learn about mindfulness practices throughout November, December and January, here are some questions you might ask your child(ren):
What have you learned about the brain?
What’s your favorite coping strategy?
What is mindfulness?
