January Students of the Month

January Teacher Lesson of the Month

Each month the students at RMS have the opportunity to give feedback about lessons that they felt were engaging and fun. This month's Teacher Lesson of the Month is Mrs. DeVall's "Escape Room Unit Test" review game. Her student said, "I liked doing the escape room to review for our upcoming test. It helped us learn more about what we should be studying for the test. I like that Mrs. DeVall draws everything out and checks our work to make sure that it is correct. She spends a lot of time making sure we understand and she is nice about it.” Great work Mrs. DeVall!

Corner Cafe is Open for Business!

The ADL class store (The Corner Cafe) is now up and running! This year it will look a little different as the new class is learning the ropes. Right now the students are currently learning how to stock and keep inventory. So what does this mean for customers? The store is running on an honor system. All items in the store are $1.00. Customers can come in, grab items, and place the money in the "Money Jar!" Check it out and go support the students in B116!

Rombout Recipes

The Culture Team is creating a recipe book to represent Rombout's diverse community! We would like the students to submit recipes that they love! These recipes can be a family recipe, an ethnic recipe, a recipe that is always used for a special occasion, or even just a recipe of your favorite dish. Please fill out this google form to submit the recipe. Some of the recipes may even be featured in our cafeteria for lunch one day! Please contact Mrs. Edelman (edelman.l@beaconk12.org) if you have any questions.
