TJH Update #26
February 10, 2021
A Message from Dr. Mitzner
Our students at TJH have been really busy inside and outside the classroom this past week. We had Guys and Dolls theatre performances, basketball championships, band solo and ensemble contest. Our students are doing amazing things inside the classroom and outside the classroom while following the safety protocols.
For the 5th Six weeks, we will have 58% of our students returning to F2F instruction (up from 38% at the beginning of the year). No matter the format of your child's learning - we have high quality teachers who plan together for learning. This is not a normal year and our practices have altered dramatically. There will be schedule changes which may also include teacher or lunch changes. Secondary school is based on course selection rather than grade level classes in elementary. We will have to close some sections and open others. I just wanted to give everyone advance notice that schedule changes could occur for your child even if you didn't request a format change.
Remember everything is hard until it is easy and we are all in this TOGETHER!!
Regards,
Dr. Kris Mitzner
Principal

Athletics - 7th Grade Girls District Champions
Girls 7th grade A, B, and C teams all became DISTRICT CHAMPIONS last night! Since this school has opened, this is the first time we have had any 7th grade girls basketball team win this title, let alone all 3 teams. B Team faced a tough Cinco Ranch team last night, but they ultimately wound up losing 23-28 in overtime. Despite the loss, they still finished the season 6-1! Both A and C teams won last night and finished the season undefeated with a 7-0 record! Thank you for all of the support this season! If you have any of these girls in class or happen to see them around school, please congratulate them!
