The students will develop and use models to explain how the structural organizations within multi-cellular organisms function to serve the needs of the organism. They will also work with constructing explanations of how the respiratory system works. They will have a quiz on the structural organization section, as well as assignments on both USA Test Prep and Study Island.
Social Studies & ELA - Mrs. Owensby
7th Grade SS
Students will complete their studyof WWII. They will create a study guide and have their test.
7th Grade ELA
Students completed their book club on the graphic novel Maus I. They will have a stems list this week with a test on Friday. We will continue improving our writing skills with text dependent prompts.
ELA - Mrs. Templeton

Field study permission forms for the music festival at Carowinds will go home this week. Please return them by Friday, March 1. We are studying composers from the Classical Period in music history. Projects are due on Tuesday, March 5. Thank you for your support of our singers!

7th Grade Dance Rotation: We have completed our choreography for the March performance. We are in the polishing phase of preparation.
Students will write a reflection of Tinikling project on Feb 26th.
Dress rehearsal for the performance is March 13th from 3-5PM. Bring a snack.
Performance is March 14th at 6 PM. Call time for students is 5:30PM.
7th dance focus: We have completed our choreography for the March performance. We are in the polishing phase of preparation. We had a costume try on day Feb 13th and all undergarments were required that day, notes were given to the girls about what to wear and how to wear hair and make up. Specs for the 7th grade google site have already been issued. A modern dance study guide is Feb 22nd. Test will be March 1st.

**** The Visual and Performing Arts teachers are in the process of writing a grant to benefit all the students of Brewer Middle School. Be on the look out for a link to the survey, Opportunity to Learn Survey, OTLS to be sent to you via email. Please give this survey some serious consideration because the data gathered will be used to inform us on arts needs for the ENTIRE school. There is a short window for completion, so once you receive it please complete it quickly.
