On deck for DUTY this week...
Just a friendly reminder that each duty post is essential to having an adult presence before and after school. PLEASE make sure you are at your post on time or swapping coverage with a colleague if you know you have a conflict.

A summary of your feedback (16 respondents)...
February ID Competition
How?
1. Talk it up to your students in every period. THERE ARE ONLY 16 STUDENT ATTENDANCE DAYS IN FEBRUARY. WOW. It might be helpful to appoint a lead student each week to remind you about the ID check.
2. Each day, count the number of actual IDs AND BLUE stickers present in your room (a blue sticker means that the student got the sticker without being asked).
3. Log this number into the spreadsheet linked below (and emailed by Mrs. Trish). Each class period is accessible via the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
4. Require any student without an ID on to either put it on or get an orange sticker from the front office.
5. The winning class with the highest number of IDs worn will win an awesome reward. (Feel free to email Mrs. Trish your classes' ideas for rewards-she is open to input on this!)
Congrats to our January Captain's Award Winners!!!

Hot Topics...
If you take your class to an alternate location...please remember to send a chat to the office about your alternate location as well as leave a note on your door for anyone who arrives late.
Student absences...Please remember to report irregularities in student class attendance right away. We are able to work together to catch students skipping if teachers alert us via chat if a student is absent in your class, but has been present in earlier classes.
Passes at lunch...are always required for student to leave the lunchroom and visit a teacher's class (as we want to keep the halls clear and protect your lunch time). Please give students a pass if they need to leave the lunchroom as well as if they are leaving your room and will arrive late to the cafeteria. We are having students sign out of the cafeteria as we want to hold students accountable for their whereabouts and also know where to find them if a parent comes to pick them up. Thank you so much for your help with this.
