Thousands at Break Free Run!

Last Saturday morning, more than 3,000 individuals joined together to combat human trafficking at Run for Courage's Folsom Race. These runners and walkers were able to raise over 100,000 dollars that will help fund Run for Courage's prevention education initiatives as well as eight non-profit beneficiaries that help prevent high-risk youth from exploitation and restore victims of trafficking. The beneficiaries include City of Refuge Sacramento, A New Day for Children, Agape International Missions, Glass Slipper, Bridget's Dream, Freedom House, Red Window Project, and Bay Area Anti-trafficking Coalition. Run for Courage also announced a new name at the race- Break Free Runs! Thank you to all who planned the race and ran the race as you significantly resourced these organizations that daily work to combat human trafficking!

Resourcing Night: There's an app for that!

You are invited to come this Thursday, October 2 at 7pm, at Suite 2:10 (2830 G Street Sacramento) to hear from App Developer Eric Jung as he shares about Gelper, an app that will be working with Serve Sacramento to help link individuals to causes and service opportunities! This app is soon to launch in the Sacramento region. If you are a non-profit leader, or love finding new ways to serve, please join us and hear what it's all about!

You will also get to hear Sam Metcalf and Norris Williams from Church Resource Ministries share about how God is at work using a simple Bible study method called Discovery Bible Study to ignite disciple making movements here and around the globe.

Come, meet a new friend, enjoy dessert, and be encouraged by these two great resources!

Upcoming Event: Q Commons Sacramento

Join hundreds of local leaders at Sacramento's first Q Commons next Thursday evening, October 9th from 7:00-9:00PM. ACTS Group is partnering with Q Ideas to create a bi-annual rhythm of gathering leaders from all kinds of backgrounds and vocations for a night of inspiration and conversation about how we as Christians can advance good in our cities and communities. We will hear from Tim Keller (Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City) and Ann Voskamp (Bestselling Author, One Thousand Gifts) via LIVE video link. Scott Hanson, Taro Arai and a panel of experts on school partners will also be delivering 9 and 18-minute Q Talks to educate and stimulate your thinking on how we as Christ followers can participate in helping Sacramento flourish.

We will host this gathering in Sacramento at The Tower Theatre (2508 Land Park Drive) and provide dessert and coffee for your enjoyment.
