Jr. High Girls Volleyball Zones
Congratulations to the junior A black team for winning the bronze medal at volleyball zones in Bassano on November 10 & 11.
Sr. High 6-Man Football Provincial Semi-Final
Congratulations to the Sr. High Football team for winning their Provincial Semi Final 84-62 against the Edson Rebels on Friday, November 17. They will be traveling to Red Deer this Friday, November 24 to take on the Hinton Wolfpack in the Provincial Final at 1:00 pm. J. C. Charyk will be sending a fan bus for any students in grade 9-12 that are interested in attending. Space is limited, so please sign up at the JCC office as soon as possible. Students will need to bring money for the entry fee ($10/student) and for lunch/supper. The bus will be leaving at 10:00 am and retuning around 7:00 pm. Go Hawks Go! This position is currently posted internally to CUPE employees for 5 working days until 4:30 p.m. September 22nd, 2023 as per the CUPE Local 5829 Collective Agreement.
We are currently looking for a compassionate, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Family Resource Worker. Within a school-based setting you will assist students and their families with a wide range of social, emotional and behavioral challenges. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a high level of sound and independent judgement along with a commitment to confidentiality. Effective planning and organizational strategies and the ability to contribute within a team environment are essential.
This is a 10-month, full time temporary maternity leave replacement position (1.0 FTW) working five days per week, 7.5 hours per day, September to June, in the Hanna and Youngstown areas. Emergency call out over July and August may be required. Travel to other areas within the division will be required. Responsibilities will commence January 8th, 2024.
Preference will be given to a candidate who has acquired a College Diploma or a University Degree in a human services/health related field (a degree in Social Work would be preferred). A combination of education, training and relevant experience may be considered. You must hold a membership or be eligible to hold a membership within your professional designation. You will possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license, along with valid insurance and a reliable vehicle for travel.
Competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.

Junior Boys Basketball
We're excited to announce that Junior High Boys Basketball will be starting Monday, November 20th at 5:00 pm for any boys in grades 7-9. Practices are Monday's and Wednesday's 5-6:30pm. Hope to see you there!

The Hanna Hawks Football teams (Gr. 7-12) will be having their annual football banquet on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Supper is at 6:00pm at J. C. Charyk Hanna School.
