Thank you to everyone!

Colleagues and Friends:

Today is my final day of work in our school district. Over the past five years I have been lucky enough to have been a member of the Keansburg School District. My time as a Titan has been very special to me and my family.

In my tenure as our district's Chief Academic Officer, I worked hard to advance the mission of the district and improve student achievement. Some of the highlights over the years include the construction of a new elementary school, the development of a 21st century technology infrastructure, the shift from a traditional to a comprehensive detracked curriculum system, a successful transitional first grade program, and a 1:1 district computer initiative. I am also very proud of the work of our PreK program which I believe is one of the best in the nation.

I have worked with our teachers and administrators to implement the ESEA Waivers, employ a new teacher and administrator evaluation program, input new math resources, redesign curriculum and assessment, and implement a successful teacher-driven professional development model. I am also pleased to report that during both recent Fiscal ESEA monitoring for Title IA and a Comprehensive NCLB audit, as well as our most recent QSAC review we did not recieve any major findings from the NJDOE.

The outcomes have been positive. We have seen increases in student achievement including college attainment, graduation rates, reading and literacy levels, as well as higher NJASK, SAT, PSAT and ACT scores. In 2014 the Keansburg School District was nationally recognized by the College Board for increased AP participation and achievement, an honor given to less than 1% of all schools in our nation. I am very proud of this work.

Most of all, I am very proud of the relationships that I have had with our community members and our colleagues in our school district. I would like to also thank the Board and Mr. North for the opportunity to grow in Keansburg, as well as the administration and our central office support staff for their support.

Every day, I have come to work with one goal - to do my best for OUR students. And without great teachers and great leaders, we will never have the students we want to develop. I believe in honoring our teachers and schools by being all in, all of the time. In the end, I encourage you to come to work every day all in, all of the time. I hope that you keep in touch ( -

Best of luck to everyone,
