Kindergarten Registration is Open!
Kindergarten registration for Fall 2018 is now open to Beaverton resident students. Students must be five years of age on or before September 1st, per State Statute, and live within the attendance boundary of our school. We invite you to register early as this assists us in confirming enrollment for staffing purposes. Please present a birth certificate or passport that the office may copy for your child's enrollment file. Beaverton School District provides full-day kindergarten in all elementary schools. You will receive more information at Kindergarten Round Up, scheduled for April 12th. Feel free to share this information with your neighbors who have their first child starting kindergarten next fall.

Save the Dragon Dash!
Please help us Save the Dragon Dash for 2018!!!
The Dragon Dash is Findley's biggest fundraiser - it brings in over $100,000 and it pays for so many programs at our school!
Instead of 1 person running the Dragon Dash for next year, we have broken down the event into many tasks to make it easy to volunteer. Most of the jobs are easy and don't take up that much of your time:
* Can you work from home or drop by the school?
* Can you volunteer one time for 30 min?
* Are you creative?
* Great with data entry?
* Are you a great Project manager, etc? Please click on the link below sign up for one (or more) tasks: DRAGON DASH COMMITTEE VOLUNTEER SIGN UP
Do you possess other talents that can keep the Dragon Dash fun and exciting for the kids?! We need you to keep the Dragon Dash alive!

Yippee…Findley is getting a Little Free Library!
Who: The 5th grade class of 2018 is donating a Little Free Library to Findley Elementary. Students, parents, and community members are encouraged to use the library. It can even be used during the summer months when school is out!
What: Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering book exchanges around the world.
Where: The library will be located outside the front of Findley (near the 3rd grade pod/double green doors). There is also a map of other registered Little Free Libraries in our community at: littlefreelibraries.org
When: The library will be available for Findley students, parents, and community on Friday, June 1st 2018.
Why: The Findley 5th graders worked hard fundraising this year (Fall Festival & movie night concessions & Val-o-gram sales) and want to give back to our Findley community before they leave for middle school.
How: do you use the Little Free Library? Take a book, return a book…it’s that easy!
Findley Little Free Library Rules:
1. Please keep the donated books appropriate.
2. Please keep the library doors kept shut (to keep the books dry).
3. Only books are allowed in the library (no garbage, toys, etc.).
4. Only donate books from home (not classroom books or library books).
5. Have fun reading!!!
