Small Middle School Students participate in Great Backyard Bird Count

How do we show our love for the outdoors and the Green Tech Academy? By getting outside of course!

Small Middle School students will be participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count on Friday, February 12th. From 9:50 to 11:20, students will be collecting data, identifying bird species by sight and sound, taking pictures, and enjoying the fresh air in our very own backyard trail and Westcreek Neighboorhood.

Students can bring their binoculars, cameras, and field guides, but we will have our very own birding experts with us for the morning. Students will be joined by staff of the Travis Audubon Society, local enthusiasts, and 12 year old birding expert Sebastian Casarez.
