Limitless Love Outreach

The students in the Family & Community Service 1st period class at Odem High School have developed a community service action project that will assist the The Ark, a child assessment center and emergency shelter for youth. The facility is located in Calallen. The Ark's mission is to provide a caring intervention for abused, neglected and displaced children and youth, ages 0 through 17, by placing them in a secure environment.

Students will be placing a flyer in your box and a collection box in each principal’s office. We appreciate your support and your assistance of sharing our project with your students. Please see the attached suggested donation list. We plan to conclude our collection by April 21. Students will also place collection boxes at local churches, public library, and the Bank of Odem.

Last Day of School is May 19th for Students Who Meet Requirements

The 2016-2017 Odem-Edroy ISD Calendar shows May 19th as the last day for students. Parents and students need to be aware that if students have not passed all classes or have excessive absences requiring make up hours, they are required to attend until May 31st. During those seven days, students will work on credit recovery for credits lost either due to grades or absences. Failure to attend during these days will result in students repeating courses next school year. OEISD will not have Summer School this year. Letters are mailed home each six weeks for students assigned to Compass Learning to recover credit for failing grades. Letters are mailed and handed out to students weekly for make up hours. Students should complete credits and/or hours by attending after school tutorials from 3:45-4:45 Tu/Th and 8:00-12:00 on Saturday. If you have questions about your child's grades or attendance, please call the high school (361)368-3401, ext. 254.

You are the sum total of everything you've ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot - it's all there. Everything influences each of us, and because of that I try to make sure that my experiences are positive.
