In The Middle
A newsletter to and for the parents of CLMS - 5/10/19
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Exploratory class sign ups are now complete. It would be a good idea to casually (or not so causally, depending on your child) ask them what they signed up for. Then you can nod and ask if there was any paperwork they need to get to you about their choice. Is there a fee? Did they need to bring in any equipment and so on. It could be a great chance to have the conversations about how when we plan ahead we avoid the last second panic. Okay, reduce the last second panic.
It is going to be a great day!
We are all in this together.

Paper and Pencil Lives! It warms the heart of an old fossil like me to see paper and pencils in action. Here are Mrs. Randall's kids getting it done on thier research projects.
Go Guard! The 34th Red Bull Infantry Divison send us a nice thank you. This was to thankd the kids for all the cards and notes they sent over to oout troops.
Pick up and Drop off
Green is good - If you pick up and drop off as illustrated by the green arrow life is good.
Yellow is not as good - If you feel the need to do it that way, please come around the back way. The reason I do not like it as much is that all that traffic makes us kind of a bad neighbor. We plug up the small road behind the football field, and that makes it rough on the residents.
The red is bad! - When you do your "salmon imitation" and go against the flow you create a traffic problem that could easily be avoided.
We also need to "Goldilocks" the timing, we need to get it just right.
- Too soon and that is a hassle.
- If you arrive early in the PM and park and your child is a pokey person that gums up the works.
We love your kids, but we are not really ready for them until about 7:00.
The big thing is have some patience. We need to be a little bit nice, understand that we are all in the together and keep doing your part to go with the flow.
