Rockin' and Rollin'!

WBA teacher and scholars are rockin' along with instructional delivery and learning through this last week! There have certainly been challenges, but everyone is working together to overcome them.

September 8th...the day that in-person students report to campus for school...is coming quickly! Next week I will begin sharing details and plans with you regarding in-person school.

Although the district asked for a semester committment from parents who chose Virtual Academy, we understand that there are going to be individuals with unique situations that create a need to change learning formats (virtual to in-person, or in-person to virtual). Please watch for an email to come from MISD today explaining the process to request a change for your child. There will be deadlines that have to be met. If you are contemplating a change for your child, please know that it will most likely mean a change of teacher and possibly change of home campus, depending on the numbers we have currently enrolled in certain classes. It will be a bit messy, but I promise we will get your child set up to receive quality instruction.

School Lunch Accounts

Mansfield ISD Student Nutrition has transitioned from MySchoolBucks to SchoolCafé as our provider for online meal payments and free/reduced lunch.

SchoolCafé is a safe and secure way for parents to monitor student(s) account balance, view purchases and payments and set up low balance email alerts. Register for a SchoolCafé account.

SchoolCafé Features:

  • View current balances and purchases
  • Receive low balance email alerts
  • Add money to your student accounts
  • Convenience fee for online transactions (NOTE: The previous transaction fee was $2.49, and the new system only charges $2.25.)

Online Meal Payment FAQs

Download the SchoolCafé Quick Reference Guide (en Español) for instructions on how to register, add students, make a payment, setup automatic payments and setup low balance alerts.

Will my child need to learn a new ID number?
No, all ID numbers will remain the same.

Will my child's account alerts and dietary restrictions transfer to the new system?
Yes, all alerts and dietary restrictions will transfer. However, account alerts for cash restrictions on snack purchases and a la carte charges will need to be submitted for the new year. To make the necessary changes, please complete the form here.

Should I register for a SchoolCafé account if I don't want to make online meal prepayments?
Parents are encouraged to create an account even if you choose not to make an online meal prepayment. SchoolCafé is a safe and secure way for parents to monitor student(s) account balance, view purchases and payments and set up low balance email alerts.

What happens to my account information in MySchoolBucks?
Both positive and negative balances in myschoolbucks.com and will transfer to our new system. The funds that were in your student’s account will be available for use on the first day of school and can also be applied towards virtual meal bundles. If your student owes money on his/her account, we can take that payment at any time and you may arrange a payment plan with the Student Nutrition department.

I have additional questions about my student's cafeteria account?
If you have questions regarding a student's cafeteria account (transferring or obtaining unused funds from account balances, application status, purchase history, obtaining ID or PIN, enrollment, etc.), please be ready to provide all names, schools and IDs along with your questions to Student Nutrition at studentnutrition@misdmail.org or 817-299-6040.
