Welcome to BrainPOP!
Check out these cool features...
What is BrainPop?
BrainPOP creates animated, curriculum-based content that supports educators and engages students. It brings hundreds of topics within Science, Social Studies, English, Math, Technology, Arts & Music and Health to life through short, animated movies and related interactive quizzes, games, and other features. All content is carefully mapped to the Common Core, aligned to state standards, and searchable with an online Standards tool.
Find BrainPop on the Library Resources Pages and use the following generic campus credentials:
Username: dmhs
Password: maclib
BrainPOP resources are delivered entirely online, so all you need to use them is internet access. They’ll work with PCs, Macs, projectors, and interactive whiteboards. You’ll also be able to access all movies and quizzes on your mobile device, via the BrainPOP Featured Movie apps. They’re available for all major platforms. BrainPOP offers BrainPOP Educators, a hub for professional development, best practices, tips, and tools for the classroom. You’ll find an array of lesson plans, videos and screencasts, printables, webinars, and more there.
Teachers will be able to create classes and view their students’ progress on BrainPOP. They’ll see their students’ quiz scores and activities and even export scores to a spreadsheet. Teachers will also be able to make comments on students' activities and score mixed quizzes that were created using the Mixer.
Students will be able to keep a history of the movies they’ve watched, the quizzes and activities they've completed, and snapshots taken on certain games played on GameUp.
You can find more information and screencasts here: http://www.brainpop.com/educators/community/my-brainpop-faq/
My BrainPOP requires students to create individual usernames and passwords on BrainPOP. They will use these to access the site, and not their school/district usernames and passwords.
