Our community is a community of superstars! Here are some updates as we help our students reach for the stars.
Important Upcoming Dates
- Tuesday, September 13th: Back to School Night from 5:30pm-7:00pm.
- Monday, September 26th: Systemwide Professional Development Day - Schools Closed for Students - Teachers on Duty - Rosh Hashanah
- Wednesday, October 5th: Systemwide Professional Development Day - Schools Closed for Students- - Teachers on Duty - Yom Kippur
- Monday, October 17th: Picture Day (details will be sent home as the date approaches)
School hours = 8:20am arrival / 8:35am late bell / 3:20pm dismissal (no drop-off prior to 8:20am as there is no supervision outside before then)

Please contact the office to update any information that has changed. There is now a way for parents to review and update student contact information themselves. Simply view this short video below that explains the process, or you can click here for written instructions. If you wish to receive emergency text messages from the school (or did at one point but they stopped), simply text the letter 'Y' or word "YES" to 67587 directly from your mobile phone. If you do not receive an automatic confirmation message, contact the main office at 443-809-7055 for assistance.
Monthly Family Unit Overview for Math
With each monthly newsletter you will gain access to unit overviews for math instruction at each grade level. Below are the unit overviews for unit 1 of math, available in both English and Spanish. The overviews share the main learning goals of the unit, show sample problems that students might see with instructional notes for family members, and include frequently asked questions.

EPIC CHURCH PARKING LOT RE-OPENS
GREAT NEWS!!! As of Tuesday, September, 6th 2022, EPIC church has reopened their parking lot for Norwood Families to utilize throughout the day.
Please keep in mind, that the church has set new restrictions for entering and exiting the parking lot. Please enter on the side farthest from the school and exit through the side closest to the school. For your understanding, the church has posted " DO NOT ENTER" signs to guide our Norwood families through the parking lot. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to the front office!

Holabird-Norwood Dance Group
Calling All Dancers
Join the Holabird-Norwood Dance Group hosted by Baltimore Country Parks and Rec to learn ballet, tap, or jazz. Sign up for one, two, or all three classes.

ESOL Literacy Classes- Fall 2022
The Family Literacy ESOL Program for non-native English speaking parents is designed to help parents learn English language skills for life, work, and to help with their child’s education. Participants must have a child 0–16 years old living in the home and enrolled in a Baltimore County Public School or the Judy Center of Baltimore County.
*No Class Cost – Grant Funded. Student book and workbook are not included.
