Born: June 3, 1808 in Todd County, Kentucky, US
Death: New Orleans, Louisiana, on December 6, 1889
His body was moved to Richmond in 1893.
Family
He was married to Sarah Taylor in 1835. She was very ill and died, when she did Jefferson wanted to forget about it and so he traveled around the world to forget about it. He was very wealthy and had the money to travel. Then he got married to Varina Howell, They had 6 kids named Samuel, Margaret, Jefferson, Joseph, William, and Varina.
When she was married with Sarah Taylor, they lived in a cotton plantation, they grew cotton there. That was how he got the money for his trips.
Education
Jefferson Davis attended Transylvania University in Kentucky and went to Kentucky College of St. Thomas Aquinas. Then at the age of 16 he entered in US Military Academy. He was successful when he attended military academy, but he wasn't the best at school. He was interested in running for office, later he won a seat for the Democrat's.
During Military
When he was in the military, he was assigned as second lieutenant in first Infantry. Then was his first time being Junior Officer. He participated in many bloody wars. He was a big part of the military when he was in the military, he word hard and long. He went to wars he decided to go.
Politics
He later became a confederate president, but when he was president he had a few weaknesses, his health wasn't very good, but even thought he was poor in health, he keep working hard and he was proud of it. After some of the major confederate armies surrendered, Jefferson was put to jail.

After Jefferson's Death
Some one named Edward VIrginius Valentine made a statue for Jefferson, it is to remember him for what he has done. It is named Jefferson Davis Monument. Today, it should be found in Fairview, Kentucky. People also celebrate Jefferson, On June 3rd. To remember what he has done for us.
