Target audience
This comprehensive training is designed for administrators, teachers, paraprofessional, counselors, school psychologists, behavior specialists and other personnel at all levels who work directly with students.
Description:
Conflict in the Classroom provides targeted training for educators to be successful in providing immediate support to students who are disruptive, aggressive and non-compliant. Research has shown that 80% of classroom problems are caused by 10% of students who challenge and undermine teacher authority. This unique training program offers specific skills to manage and de-escalate conflict within the school setting. Participants will learn to manage their own counter-aggression under tough circumstances. This training provides skills needed implement support along PBIS Tier’s I, II and III.
No pre-requisites are required.
Cost:
Training cost is $40.00 for North Georgia RESA members $80.00 for all others. The fee will cover the cost of materials. Light refreshments will be served. Lunch each day will be on-your-own. You may register by paying online or pay by purchase order.
