CD Bulletin
Dear Country Dale Families,
Now that spring has arrived, our students are getting outside on the playground more frequently. Not only are students provided additional recess time at the end of the day but even Kids Club, our before and after school program, has been allowing children to play on the playground and blacktop prior to school starting. With that in mind, I must encourage families who arrive a little early to be extra mindful in the morning when dropping their children off at school. We ask that families do not drive on the blacktop past the three cones near the construction site until 8:45 since children may be playing on the blacktop. Safety will continue to be of the utmost importance so I thank you for your extra attention and for slowing down when driving near the playground when children are present.
Have a great week!
Shaunna LaPlant - Country Dale Principal

TORNADO AND SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS WEEK
April 17th-21st is Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin. Severe weather can occur at any time and in any part of the country. Severe weather can include hazardous conditions produced by thunderstorms, including damaging winds, tornadoes, large hail, flooding and flash flooding, and winter storms associated with freezing rain, sleet, snow, and strong winds.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Wisconsin averages 23 tornadoes per year. The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed 28 tornadoes touched down in the state of Wisconsin during 2022.
In addition to preparedness and education this week, the State of Wisconsin is also conducting a statewide tornado drill on Thursday, April 20 at 1:45 pm and 6:45 pm. Everyone is encouraged to review emergency plans and the shelter-in-place locations (located on the Safety Maps at all entrances and near elevators/stairways). The drill will not include a mock tornado warning issued, which means there will be no test alerts sounded on NOAA Weather Radios. Some communities may still choose to test their outdoor warning sirens during the drill times.
All FPS elementary buildings will be conducting drills in conjunction with the statewide drill at 1:45PM.
Please review other information below and click on the image to see more severe weather information from the National Weather Service.
