Happy New Year
We would like to welcome all of our MES Husky Pup Scholars back to school! We are excited to start a new year with all of our families, and we look forward to the changes that may come. It is important to remember that while there is a lot of uncertainty in the world, we face each of our challenges with a growth mindset. “In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment” (Dweck, 2015). We believe that challenges and failures help us grow, and it is with this mindset that we reach for new opportunities. Face each day with a fresh perspective, build routines and give one another grace as we resume our distance learning schedules.
Construction Update
We are happy to report that our newly remodeled 2nd grade and 3rd grade wings of the building are mostly complete. Teachers have been moved into their new rooms, and are starting to unpack into the newly renovated space. We can now begin the remodeling process on the first grade wing of the building. Construction is moving along smoothly, and it will be very exciting to welcome students into the new spaces when it is safe to do so.
Supply Pickups
Teachers will notify parents when (and if) there are new school materials to pick up at Mammoth Elementary School. Our pick up hours will be Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 2:00pm. We will continue to distribute through the teacher lounge window to minimize contact. Please be sure to drive slowly and safely in the parking lot, and let us know your student's name and his/her teacher's name so we can get the correct handouts to you.
