Math C Students
Countdown to High School... 5 more Middle School work days!
Week 39 (5/16-5/20) Updates
All students should complete the Semester Test in Week 39 in the OLS.
- If you have any not started or not mastered lessons from Units 8 – 13 please go back and master those lessons ASAP before taking the Semester Test. Come to Math Lab for help if needed. “M”s will be added to your account according to the pacing guide soon!
- Remember you only get one attempt on the Semester Test so make it count! Moreover, we cannot help you in Math Lab, so make sure you have a strong notebook to help you. Please watch the 9am CC recordings from the week of May 9-12 to help you.
Unit 14 is optional if you are behind pacing. Please have your LC skip you out of it and go right from Unit 13 to Unit 15. Directions for skipping How to Skip Lessons in the OLS.
Spring Scantron: Past Due. Please be sure to complete both your Math and Reading Scantron tests if you haven’t yet. Questions? Kmail me or your homeroom teacher.
Final Interim Assessment: Posted in Study Island and Due Friday, May 13. Mirrors the August Interim in that it covers all concepts covered in Math C. Please watch the 9am CC recordings from the week of May 9-12 to help you.
TO DO this week:
- Come to the 9am CC sessions the week of May 16-20 for Open Office Hours to help you with any Not Mastered lessons, Unit 8-13.
- Eighth Grade Promotion: Live in Blackboard – Tuesday, May 17th @11am and 6pm. Join us!
- Please complete the satisfaction survey, if you have not yet. Your opinion is exceptionally valuable to us. Thank you!
Expectations:
Remember, all Semester 1 grades (Units 1-7) are closed out in the Gradebook per this video. Therefore, you may not be able to retake your Not Mastered lessons from Semester 1, but we would like you to review them as necessary. If you do not know how to access your Not Mastered list, contact your math teacher and ask for directions. Please remember that your grades this year are based on your scores AND progress expectations.
