Laptop Distribution

**ATTENTION: THIS MESSAGE WAS ALSO SENT SEPARATELY TO INDIGENOUS FAMILIES WHO'VE REQUESTED LAPTOPS VIA EMAIL**

As some of you know, CUSD held a laptop distribution serving the general CUSD population on August 1st, 3rd, and 4th, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Indigenous Ed. now knows as of 8/3/20 that this distribution was ONLY for families who indicated that they needed a laptop on their 2021 Intent to Return surveys completed on Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

Families who DID NOT check the box to indicate device need on their Intent to Return surveys DID NOT have laptops reserved for them at this distribution.

If your student(s) still need a laptop: Please contact us AND contact your home school site. We have not forgotten about you, and you still remain our priority to receive a device. Stay tuned for updates via email and Instagram. In the event that your expressed need for a laptop has changed, that is to say you are no longer in need of a laptop, please let us know.

Please remain patient during these uncertain times. We have several families requesting laptops, and are doing our best to fulfill all of these needs so that you have the necessary resources to be successful this school year. Ahéhee'!

Funding Requests

Due to the overwhelming requests for laptops and school supplies, we will not be accepting, reviewing, or fulfilling funding requests until August 17th. Also, we will not accept funding requests on old forms. Please use the new 2020-2021 Funding Request Application form which will be posted on our website and available upon request from your student's Indigenous Student Advisor by August 17th.

Indigenous Student Advisors

Basha, Casteel, and Chandler High Schools are in the process of finding new Indigenous Student Advisors for the 2020-2021 school year. We deeply appreciate the hard work required of our Advisors, and the compassion and dedication shown by them. We thank our former Advisors Nancy Spilsbury, Jessica Burt, and Carole Kaitz for their contributions to our Indigenous youth, and we value and look forward to working with our current and new Indigenous Student Advisors!
