Hello, Longwood Families!
Longwood Leader
Throughout the month of February, our school community focused on the trait of Kindness. While this trait is important to our school community year-round, it was a pleasure to be able to celebrate the leaders who exemplify kindness in all that they do during Friday's Longwood Leader assembly. These students continually demonstrate compassion and empathy for others in their words and actions. Congratulations to all of our winners! Photos of our winners can be seen below. Our trait for the month of March is Perseverance. This looks like taking responsible risks and trying your very best even when faced with a challenge.
No School Thursday or Friday
Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences are on Thursday, Feb 29th from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Teachers have made contact with families they are requesting a conference for. If your child’s teacher did not request a conference, but you would like to meet, please contact your child's teacher for available appointment times. We appreciate your partnership and ongoing support!
iReady Score Reports
Winter ELA and Math benchmarking results are now available in ParentVue. Please take time to review your child's performance and celebrate their growth and accomplishments!
We need your help, Longwood Families! We need at least 20% of parents to respond to the 5Essentials Survey, but we know our community can exceed this! We have nearly 80% of our students and nearly 80% of our staff have already completed it, but only 17% of our parents. Your input is essential to help us continuously improve and enhance the educational experience for your students. All responses are confidential. Visit: SURVEY HERE Type "DuPage" as the County. Type "Longwood" in field to select our school. Thank you!

Grade 3-4-5 State Testing
Grade 3-4-5 Families,
During the Month of March your student will take the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) for ELA and Math. Students in grade 5 will also take the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA).
We have a secret mission for families to create a surprise for your child!
Our goal during testing is for every student to have a note of encouragement waiting for them on their desk before beginning their IAR test. Words from the people who mean the most to them - their family and friends! Please click the link to submit an encouraging note for your student. Messages will be printed on stationary paper and delivered to your student our second morning of testing. Submit your note HERE
We appreciate your partnership in making your student's testing experience a positive and successful one!
