Math
Many of the students are struggling with this. Please practice daily!
We are testing on one set of multiplication facts each day this week. They really should have mastered 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s. Once your child masters a set of facts, they may move on to the next set. They will also add ice cream scoops to their personal cone on our bulletin board. Please help your child study nightly.
FYI: We will not be using the Harcourt series this week for our reading curriculum...
We will not be using the Harcourt series this week for our reading curriculum... Instead, we will use articles and stories pertaining to Thanksgiving history and traditions. There will not be a reading test for which to study.
I will give a test on nouns and verbs. Our reading tests will all be "cold reads".
Over the Mountain Journal is having a holiday art contest. Students may submit a 8.5X11" drawing by this Friday. Please remind students to outline with black in case their work is published.
