Dear Lions Park Families,

The school year is off to a wonderful start at Lions Park! Students are learning and practicing routines and reviewing how to be safe, respectful, and responsible in all areas of the school. School staff have been busy assessing students and beginning instruction. Our hallways are lined with student work. Your children are curious, enthusiastic, and a joy to learn with every day!

Thank you to all who attended our Back to School Night. This event is a wonderful opportunity for parents and school staff to connect and begin their partnership in support of your children.

We had a successful Safety Week and practiced a lockdown drill, a shelter-in-place drill, a bus evacuation, and two school evacuation drills. The Mount Prospect Police Department and Mount Prospect Fire Department came to observe some of the drills. This enables them to become more familiar with our school and plans and to provide feedback to us.
