Please Welcome Our Alumni Staff!

Some of the alumni shared their favorite school memories, and we wanted to share a few with you!

  • Finding a new love for math inspired me to become the math instructor I am today! (Shoutout to Mr. Fitzpatrick, my Precalculus teacher during my junior year)

  • My favorite memory was senior prom. We were all dancing on the U.S.S. Midway in San Diego, and fireworks went off, illuminating the bay!

  • When TVHS beat CHS at the inaugural varsity football game between the schools my senior year, that game was thrilling as it went down to the wire while I watched in the packed stands with my classmates.

  • Band! I played the flute in our high school marching band and have many great memories of playing at our football games and competitions. Go Bears!!

  • My favorite school memory happened at BVMS. My video production teacher, Mr. Napier, found out that my family couldn't afford to buy me a Knott's Berry Farm ticket for the 8th-grade field trip. He pulled me aside discretely and made it clear that I was going - he said he wouldn't let me miss it. I'm still not sure if he personally funded the ticket or if the school covered the cost, but because of him, I was able to go on the field trip with my friends. It meant a lot to me!

  • Winning a CIF ring in girls soccer my senior year.

  • I don't have a particular memory, but I remember all of the great teachers I had. I loved their passion for the subjects they were teaching and their effort to get to know me. They always made me feel welcome in their classrooms and made learning fun.
