Thank you first of all for jumping on board with our science curriculum, even though we don't have all of our materials yet.

Here is the latest from Susan Titsworth who handles our curriculum orders:

Quick update - Due to the back log of orders, plus backordered items it will probably be another 2 – 4 weeks before schools will begin to receive any remaining materials. (textbooks/kits)

Just so you know, the process in place is Thompson School Book Depository calls our warehouse first thing every morning if any of our orders is ready for pick-up. Our warehouse has been instructed to basically drop whatever they are doing, get orders picked up and delivered to Schools in the same day or first thing the next morning.

I wish I had better news for you. I wish I could deliver everything to you today, but we will get there.

This is a great strategy to get kids talking about reasoning. In this strategy there is no ONE correct answer; it focuses on the reasoning and explanation. This strategy has a low floor entry so ALL students can participate, but it is also very high ceiling to help give our students a challenge.

Our science standards in Oklahoma include cross-cutting concepts. How do we teach these ideas to young students? Stories, of course.
