P.E. with Coach Ellis and Coach Hess
The 6th, 7th, & 8th graders have been working on a project called The Big Picture! The project has them researching how to go to college. I have been doing this project since the onset of Kestrel Heights School being open. I have found out that, any student who applies themselves in the class room, plays and instrument, dances, sings, or plays a sport, has been able to fully fund their college education or find significant funds to help them along the way! The students start with researching what are the top 10 schools they are interested in. Then they slim the number down to their top 5. Then they research how many Division I, Division II and Division III schools there are in the US. Then they are asked to compile a load of information pertaining to their top 5 schools and write a three page paper on their top two choices. There has been quite a bit of moaning and groaning, but they are working! LOL
