The Eiffel Tower is breathtaking
A single tower that weights a total of 10,000 tons. It has 20,000 bulbs to make The Eiffel Tower sparkle at night. The initial height of The Eiffel Tower is 312m to the top of the flagpole. The Eiffel Tower is located in Paris,France and it took less than two years to build the tower. It was created on March 31, 1889 and the architect of The Eiffel Tower was Stephen Sauvestre.
The construction of The Eiffel Tower was very challenging but successful
In1889, to honor of the centeriary of the French Revolution; the French government planned an international exposition,and announced a design competition for a monument to be built. It was constructed for the 100-year anniversary of the French Revolution. The North and West pillars of The Eiffel Tower were closed to the seine river, it caused serious problems to the foundation since stable soil was needed to built The Eiffel Tower. One of the difficult steps was to junction on the first floor since the four pillars had to meet at exact same level.
What people think of the Eiffel tower
It has been and incredible site for people and is now of the most recognizable structure on the planet. One of the most recognizable structure on the planet. It was France that coined the phrase lesgrand( large-scale engineering works.) The Eiffel Tower has became synonymous with Paris and has appeared in over 200 flims.
