Old Town Star Staff News

Sept. 14 through Sept. 25

Our Star Staff Member of the Week Is...

Name: Kati Vaclavik

Current Gig: 1st Grade
One word to describe yourself and why: Caring - I truly care about my students and will do anything I can to show them that.

Personal life: I recently got engaged in April to Ben. We are getting married on May 21, 2016. He has 2 daughters who are 6 & 8 that are like my own. We have a dog, Lily, who is a 10 year old Yorkie.
Most interesting job: I worked for a recruiting agency right out of college while I was waiting for a teaching opportunity. I hired and ended peoples assignments. I met some really "interesting" people.

Favorite hobbies away from school: Spending time with family, shopping, and traveling.
Favorite song: Since I'm getting married my favorite song is the one we will do our first dance to - Mean to me by Brett Eldridge.

If I wasn't at Old Town, I'd...: Be teaching somewhere else. :)
