Prepare the Moment
Your preparation determines your destination.
We talked about May being an encouragement concerning “moments.” Several quick phrases come to mind:
· Be in the moment
· Stay in the moment
· Measure the moment
· Feel the moment
· Win the moment
· Prepare the moment
We talked about “winning the moment” a couple of weeks ago. The idea there was to live victoriously by seeing every moment as a victory. “Winning every moment” can be summed up in this quote: “I never lose. Either I win or I learn.”
Here is a quick encouragement on how to “prepare the moment”.
Ali was quoted by saying, “If we stay ready, we won’t have to get ready.” Actor Will Smith added, “And that is how I run my life.” Those are strong words that require now action. Let’s not get lackadaisical in our thoughts, our emotional state, attitude or work ethic. Easier said than done? Not really. It depends on your viewpoint, outlook, and level of determination. Point your view to immediate preparation. After all, your preparation determines your destination. It takes an awareness of mind and heart to counteract moments that can slip. If it’s true that opportunity doesn’t knock, we have to open that door, then preparing the moment is crucial.
To prepare implies a constant state of readiness. Ready for what? Whatever it is that comes your way. Let’s shoot for and except good things. Readiness practice is also an awareness of fluidity. We have to continually move with fluid movements, and be ready to morph at a moment’s notice, according to our current situation.
Preparation pushes determination, which pushes destination. And that cycle continues! Don’t break the cycle, keep it humming!
