Patriot Week at a Glance
March 15-19th
A Note from the Principal:
Dear Patriot Families,
Hello! We hope this letter finds everyone safe and well. Thank you to those who joined us for our virtual Kindergarten Round-Up. We look forward to meeting our new kindergarten students this summer!
Our district will be hosting "D8 Summer Learning Institute" for free this year and the program has been extended to 5 weeks - June 7th - July 16th (with a break June 28-July 2nd). We highly suggest registering for the event as the program will support learning in math, ELA, and specials classes. If you have any questions, please feel free to talk to your classroom teacher. Registration will begin soon, information will be sent to families from the district.
On Monday, March 15th, we will begin our virtual book fair (please see flyer below) and STEM night is quickly approaching on March 31st. We will hand out pizzas and then support a STEM presentation via zoom. We hope your family will join us for the event, registration will be required so we ensure enough pizzas: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0f44adac22a3fb6-stem.
Spring is fast approaching March 22 - 26th, enjoy the week with your family. If you have any questions or need any support, please call the front office.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Canon, Principal

Virtual Wellness Resources
FFC8 Families,
As we enter into second semester, FFC8 mental health providers have put together a collection of virtual wellness resources for students and families to use for self-care. There are a variety of resources for children of all ages, from animal cams and coloring sheets, to music and yoga. Please explore these resources with or for your child(ren) or yourselves. Our wellness resource page can be accessed through this link and is also available through the home page at each school as well as the district website.

PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL WITH A MASK
A note from our school nurse, Mrs. Porter:
We have students at Patriot who have no immunization records or are missing immunizations. Please contact me or bring in updated ones, that would be greatly appreciated! We will also contact families who need to turn in records.
SHOULD I SEND MY CHILD TO SCHOOL TODAY? (See decision tree below)
