This Last Week
First of all, I want to express my sincerest intent for you and your family's wellbeing. We are hoping everyone is well and safe. This is our number one care and concern as a school community. If you need support in any way please reach out and we will do our best to assist. The importance is to stay connected to someone during these times.
We have successfully launched into In-Home - Online Schooling. That is, teachers have begun sending out their lessons to students. All students should have been learning various lessons.
We are super sensitive to our families' needs and do not want to overwhelm you. We are following the Alberta Education timelines for Instruction. If for any reason you need support with your child's learning to reach out to your child's teacher and they will do their best to assist. If your child needs more, contact your teacher and she will direct you to various sites and resources for extra practice.
All of the staff are now at home working, except for the custodian, Mr. Hample, and one Administrator, Mrs. Antoniuk or Mrs. Lindbeck.
Mrs. Roberts, our secretary is working from home. Please note that if you call the school to leave a voice message. The voice message will be sent to Mrs. Robert's email. We will return the call.
We have received a few questions regarding fees and refunds for the remainder of the year. We appreciate that during this time of uncertainty, families are looking for clarification and direction on all impacts of class cancellations.
Similar to all school divisions across the province, we are currently waiting for Alberta Education direction as to if and when the school will reopen prior to September 2020. Once we receive further notice from the province, the Finance Department will work with School Secretaries to process credit or refund to student accounts. As soon as EICS has further information on this, we will certainly share this with all of our families.
