Johnson High School
Week of April 19th
Good morning Johnson HIgh School Students, Staff and Parents,
We had a great week at Johnson HIgh School. Our Johnson High School 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year. Ms. Ytzel Aguilar, was announced. We are so proud of her and the work she does with our students. We held our UIL Academic competition, with Johnson HIgh School students advancing in nine events! Our student-athletes compete at the Regional Track meet on Friday, and our Rosettes hold their spring show this weekend. Lots of great things our students are doing, we are so proud of them and their sponsors.
Next week we test End-of- Course for Biology and US HIstory. Our teachers and students have been working hard to prepare for these exams, we expect great results this year.
In the coming weeks we will be pushing out information on graduation and other senior events. As always, if you have any feedback or questions about Johnson hIgh School, please reach out to me at (512) 268-8512 extension #44301.

2. Please send a note at least 24 hours in advance for students to self-check out. Students still need to come down to the office to complete the check out process.
4.90% attendance rule in the State of Texas means that if your student is not present in their class at least 90% of the time they will not receive credit. Please send in notes to JHS.Attendance@hayscisd.net
Nurses Office
Senior Parents!!
Will your student be turning 18 soon? The Texas Department of Health and Human Services has a state immunization registry known as ImmTrac. Children under the age of 18 have their immunization automatically added to the system BUT once a child turns 18 their immunization record is removed UNLESS the 18 year old completes the attached form and returns it to their School nurse or the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.
Students 18 years and older will then be able to access their records for the rest of their adult life. This is helpful for those going off to college, entering healthcare fields of work, or need to know when their last tetanus shot was. This registry can be pulled by any healthcare facility in the states of Texas.
