Forward Exam
Just a reminder that students in 3rd, 4th & 5th grade will be taking the Wisconsin Forward Exam starting Monday April 8th. This is a Department of Public Instruction requirement for all school districts. The tests are designed to obtain important information about each student’s achievement in the areas of Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts (only fourth grade students take the science and social studies tests).
Please read this letter from the School District of Waukesha in regards to the assessment and this brochure from the Wisconsin Department of Education. Please try to avoid scheduling appointments during this time.
Music Kid's Choice Awards
Fifth grade music students have been arranging music for movies using a clip from the blockbuster, Jurassic Park. Students viewed each person/groups final project and voted on movies that best fit into 5 categories including Best Original Music, Best Sound Editing, Most Dramatic, Best Comedy, Best Action Adventure and Best Picture.
This week, we held the first ever Music Kid's Choice Awards to congratulate the winners, complete with a red carpet, trophies and some Hershey's Hugs, just like real movie stars.
