Scarborough's Reading Rope
Lexia- Did you Know?
The activities in Core5 Lexia support and build on classroom curriculum, and focus on developing reading skills in six areas: phonological awareness, phonics, structural analysis, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Your child has goals each week of how many minutes they should complete and how many units they should get done within those minutes. Some kids get all of their minutes throughout the day during school, but others may not have the same amount of extra time. Ask your child if they need to work on Lexia at home!! All students can access Lexia Core5 on Clever.
Students should be completing approximately 1 unit every 5 minutes. So if your child is taking more time than that, their teacher might need to give them some help on the level they're on.
