Lindee Family Support
Dear Stone Bank School Families,
Stone Bank School's 6th grade Girl Scout Troop 6234 has organized a fundraiser for the Lindee Family. Mr. Lindee is a fourth grade teacher at our school and his wife, Jenny, is battling cancer for the second time in just three years. The girls in Troop 6234 would like to help support the Lindee family and are inviting you to join them. They will present a monetary gift to the Lindees before Christmas from our entire school community and have a goal to raise $1,500. Please send in coins, bills, or a check (made out to Troop 6234) during the week of Dec. 3rd and have your child give it to Mrs. Beth in the office. The class that brings in the most donations will earn a sweet treat during their lunch. When you're at school, check out our fundraising progress on the thermometer posted in the commons.
Thank you for your help to 'Share the Love' for this special family.
Sincerely,
Tammy Pulvermacher and Sara Kureck
and 6th Grade Girl Scout Troop 6234

Toy Drive
The 7th grade girl scout troop is hosting a school toy drive to benefit the Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County November 26th through December 10th. Please bring in new items such as: toys for all ages, mittens, gloves, hats, books for kids 11 and under, gift cards to Walmart, Kohls, and Target, and preteen DIY crafts and hair accessories. A big red barrel will be located in the school office for drop-off donations or feel free to send to school with your child. Lost and Found
Student Council
Mrs. Beck is a new teacher here at Stone Bank. She teaches 5th grade. She went to UW Madison. She first taught at Jefferson Elementary and Washington Elementary, in Wauwatosa. She taught for six years and then took a break to start a family. She then worked as a substitute teacher for nine years! Mrs. Beck loves teaching about Wisconsin, as it’s her home state. She taught first grade for one year, fourth grade for four years and fifth grade for two years. She also subbed every grade plus things like astrophysics.
Mrs. Beck's favorite color is yellow. Her favorite season is summer. She loves giraffes, because they’re so tall, she looks up to them, literally. Her go to snacks are the four ps. Peanut M&Ms, Reese's peanut butter cups, popcorn and potato chips. In her free time she loves to read, play cards, and hang out with her family and friends. She would love to go to Germany because her husband and kids have either all gone or will go soon.
Mrs. Beck became a teacher all because one of her teachers made a huge impact on her. In fourth grade Mrs. Beck played the cello, but when she tried to take it on the bus the bus driver wouldn’t let her on because it was too big. Since no one in her family could drive her to and from school, her fourth grade gym teacher drove her to school every Friday so she could continue to play the cello. This teacher had such an impact on Mrs. Beck that she was inspired to make an impact on others.
Fun fact #1: When Mrs. Beck started teaching, she looked really young. She had braces and glasses, whenever someone walked in they would ask, “Where is the teacher?” Mrs. Beck was standing right there! Fun Fact #2: Mrs. Beck has a identical twin sister! How crazy is that!

One Warm Coat Drive Update
Dear Families,
We do know that the title of this service is One Warm Coat Drive, but thanks to you, we raised a total of 73 warm, winter coats, plus dozens of other winter gear, such as, hats, gloves, boots, and even a few blankets! They were all donated to The Hope Center in Waukesha, and will be given out to those in need. On behalf of the Stone Bank Student Council, we would like to thank you for donating money and loads of winter gear this past month. Families in need will now be able to stay warm this winter because of your helpful donations! Thank you for your time and effort, so we can all stay warm this winter!
From the School Counselor
This interesting article was recently shared with me. I'm planning to share it with some of my students during SEL class. I also wanted to share it with parents, as it's a great conversation piece and a great way to teach kids to stand up against bullies. Be a Broken Soda Machine Enjoy.

Illness Guidelines
Health room guidelines for keeping a child home sick and when they are okay to return to school:
- Students with a fever of 100.4 degrees or greater should not attend school. They should be fever free for at least 24 hours without the aid of medications.
- Students with vomiting and/or diarrhea should not attend school. They should be symptom free for a minimum of 24 hours before they return.
- Students who are diagnosed by their physician and started on antibiotics for a bacterial infection (strep throat, pink eye, etc.) should remain home until 24 hours after the antibiotics have been started.
- Students who have a bad cough and/or persistent runny nose, unrelated to allergies, should also stay home.
Students attending school with these symptoms or who are at school while these symptoms develop, will not be allowed to return to class and parents/guardians will be contacted and asked to pick your child up. Students who are absent more than 3 days or upon administrator's request may be asked to provide a doctor's excuse.
Thanksgiving Wax Museum
Last week our 3rd graders from Ms. Drew's and Mrs. Johnston's classes carried on the tradition of the Thanksgiving Wax Museum as they researched the First Thanksgiving. They performed for their 4K through 5th-grade peers as well as teachers and their families!
They worked together to research, design sceneries, and scripts for the production. They had a lot of fun learning but sharing as well. We are very proud of the work our 3rd graders put into researching and memorizing their scripts. They did a great job!
We would also like to thank all the parent volunteers who helped organize the Thanksgiving Feast and the families for their continued support to their children. The Thanksgiving Wax Museum and feast is a tradition we all look forward to every year!
We hope everyone enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends!
