Salmon Week 4 Update
September 25th-29th
Overview
Social Studies we will wrap up the first half of the Southwest this week.
In science we will begin studying the human body and its systems. We will focus on the skeletal and nervous systems.
Reading we will be continuing our story On the Banks of Plum Creek. Students will take an assessment on the standard RL.3 at the end of the week. Our goal is to be proficient at a Level 3.
Writing we have finished our unit on writing paragraphs and will begin our unit on personal narratives. Students completed an assessment in writing that focused on structure (topic, 3 detail and a conclusion sentence. Our goal is a Level 3 for the structure. We will continue to target in our grammar and spelling for improvement over the year, many of the students are Level 2 and working on goal setting to reach Level 3.

October 19th and 20th: PIR Days (no school for students)
Reminders:
*The sheet titled "Family Times" is for your child to use to help review for their weekly reading quiz. This has some great information and a few activities that will help your child review the skills for the week. I do not require this to be turned in only to use as a review at home.
