Updated Covid Guidance
The CDC and Larimer County Health Department have updated their isolation and quarantine guidance page to specify that shortened isolation and quarantine recommendations do apply to K-12 schools.
New Vision Charter Schools will adopt this guidance and be supported by LCDHE in using the shortened 5-day isolation and quarantine periods.
A critical piece of these shortened periods is for cases and contacts to wear a well-fitting mask for the 5 days following release (days 6-10).
If your child develops symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or is not feeling well please do not bring them to school or school activities, but notify the school of the symptoms and absence. There are many common winter illnesses going around including Influenza, stomach virus, and the common cold. You can also contact your family physician.
Steps to take if your child develops symptoms consistent with COVID-19:
Follow these isolation instructions.
Have your child tested.
Continue to keep your child home from school and avoid other activities around other people.
Notify the school.
Seek medical care and testing for COVID-19, calling your doctor before you show up.
If, due to the exposure, you wish to keep your student out of school for the duration of a quarantine period, please contact the attendance line at 970-593-6827. During this voluntary quarantine period, please follow the instructions about how to quarantine that are available.
We understand that the changing guidance is very frustrating and we appreciate your kindness and support throughout this year.
Winter Driveline Reminders
- Please do not pull in and park in the parking lot during driveline unless you have a meeting. Please go through driveline. This includes breakfast and running club.
- If plans change, i.e. Boys and Girls Club, please notify your child's teacher so they know what is going on.
- Please stay off of your phone during driveline. It is very unsafe for the staff and students if you are on your phone.
- Please do not get out of your car. We will support your child.
