Desertification
Overpopulation
A function of the number of individuals compared to the relevant resources, such as the water and essential nutrients they need to survive. Sub-Saharan parts of Africa are mostly affected with overpopulation.
Apartheid
A system of racial segregation in South Africa enforced through legislation by the National Party.
Genocide
the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation. The biggest problem in Africa is in Rwanda.
Civil wars
It encompasses colonial wars, wars of independence, secessionist and separatist conflicts, and major episodes of national violence. Egypt is now still part of a civil war.
Disease
A particular abnormal condition, a disorder of a structure or function, that affects part or all of an organism. A major disease in Africa is a deadly disease called Ebola.
Culture.
Rites of Passage
A ceremony and marks the transition from one phase of life to another. Rites of Passage is practiced a lot in Kenya.
Swahili
also known as Kiswahili, is a Bantu language and the first language of the Swahili people. Swahili is spoken in Tanzania.
Polygamy
Where a man has multiple simultaneous wives. Polygamy is mostly every part of Africa.
Bantu
Is a major branch of the Niger-Congo language family spoken by most populations in Africa. Is used in ethnic groups.
