Creating an Apple ID With an iPad
District Recommended Method
No Credit Card Required!
There are various ways to create an Apple ID, however, if not done a certain way, a user will be prompted for their personal credit card information. Unless you are purchasing apps "out of pocket", you should not need to enter your credit card information when creating your district Apple ID. Please follow the steps below to ensure that you are not prompted for your credit card information.
Open App Store
Search for and Install a FREE app (recommend OneDrive). Free apps will say "Get".
Tap Install > Tap Create New Apple ID
Enter Your District Email > Password of your choice and Agree to Terms and Conditions
Password must be at least 8 characters, including a number, an uppercase letter, and a lowercase letter. Don't use spaces, the same character 3 times in a row, or your Apple ID.
Enter information in all fields
Choose and Answer Sample Questions
Select None for Billing Option (if all steps not followed, none may not be an option)

A verification email will be sent. Check your email and enter the code here.
Hit the home button and check your E-Mail. (Check your Clutter or Junk Email if it does not appear in the Inbox).
Once the account is verified, you can proceed to download apps.
The options below are optional, we suggest selecting the "Require After 15 Minutes". For classroom teachers we usually do not suggest the "Save Password for Free Items".
