Items Needed for Service Project

The Reicher National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society will partner with The Blue Star Mothers in an effort to send Christmas Cards and needed supplies to our US troops that have been deployed overseas away from their families during Christmas.

We are currently in need of blank Christmas cards, Christmas stationary, Christmas stickers, and green and red construction paper. We are asking for any donations that you may have sitting around your house toward this effort over the next two weeks. Please feel free to send your donations in to Mrs. Kelly. We plan to write our letters as a school by October 25. If you have any questions, please email kkelly@reicher.org. Many thanks and Muchas Gracias from NHS and SHH!

PS. More information to come on needed toiletry items next week!

College Corner

Wednesday, October 16 the PSAT will be administered in the SLAC. Students should be there by 8:00 a.m. and bring their own calculator. It is important that students get a good night's sleep the night before.

Over half of the senior class has applied for admission to various colleges and universities. Way to go!

Mrs. Conners is going to host a "No Pizza & Pie 'TIL you Apply Party." The date has not yet be determined. If all seniors apply by November 1, then there will be a "Pizza & Pie Party."

High School Fall Retreat - How He Loves

This fall, our high schoolers will have the opportunity to go on retreat and learn more about God's great love for them. We will take a step back from our busy lives to think about God's sacrifice for us, His unending love, and His mercy. We'll join with other high school youth groups so that our teens will get a glimpse of the universal Church and be able to form new friendships.

The retreat will be held November 23rd - 24th at Messiah's Ranch in Bryan, Texas. There is a bonus night for upperclassmen on November 22nd, where 11th and 12th graders will be able to invite God into their lives in a particular way as they look ahead to what they'll be doing after high school.

The cost for the retreat is $60 if you sign up before October 15th and have either paid the St Louis Youth registration fee or are on a payment plan. After October 15th, the cost goes up to the regular registration price, $80. Late registration is $100 from November 9th - November 15th.
