Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

Well, some weeks just do not go as planned! We appreciate your flexibility with our unplanned digital learning day in addition to two days of early release. I hope that many of you were able to connect with your child's teacher to hear how your child is progressing in school.

I would like to draw your attention to the item below about international travel. If you have plans to travel out of the country, please realize that your child will have to remain out of school for seven days after you return. I know many of you are making Spring Break plans, and I would encourage you to consider this before deciding to leave the country.

Take care and enjoy your weekend!

Your Principal and Partner,

Dr. Pendleton

It was wonderful to meet with so many parents this week via Zoom for parent teacher conferences. One item that the teachers reviewed with you was our school's The Plan/The Promise. This document provides a lot of information about our school, including the responsibilities of the school, the students, and the family members to support the academic achievement of our students. It is posted on the website, as well as on our eClass Landing page. Please go to My Payments Plus and sign off on the acknowledgement of this document. While you are logged into your account, make sure that you have signed off on all of the school documents that the teacher notified you about at the conference. Click here for help with My Payments Plus.

Next Friday Will Be Your Last Opportunity to Take the RBES Parent Survey

The last day for parents to take the RBES Parent Survey will be next Friday, February 26th. This is the survey that was emailed to you through School Messenger two weeks ago. Please complete a survey for each school at which you have one or more enrolled students if you have not done so already. The survey is available in English, Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, and Chinese.

Read Across America Week is the First Week of March

Read Across America week is quickly approaching! Below, you will see that for the week of March 1st -5th, we will have a dress up theme for each day to honor Dr. Seuss's stories. Please help your student(s) plan their outfits accordingly!

Our main event will happen on Friday, March 5th. On that day, we will have a virtual parade of pictures from the week running as a slideshow for students to view.

There are 2 options available to be part of the Read Across America Parade:

Option 1: Students will take a picture with their favorite book. They can even dress up as a character in the book when they take their picture.

Option 2: Students will take a picture on Tuesday, when they are dressed up like what they want to be when they grow up. They should hold a sign stating what they want to be.

Parents may email the pictures to

We wanted to give you an ample heads up to prepare for a fun and memorable week of reading!
