Family Webinar
The next episode of the Family Webinar Series: Mental Health and Resilience, will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 6:00-7:00 PM.
Anxiety….we hear this word a lot these days. In this month’s webinar, learn quick, effective strategies to combat anxiety in your child, teen, or even yourself. Join Sara McGinnis, a Park Hill parent, Licensed Professional Counselor and former school counselor, as she teaches us research-based cognitive behavioral therapy techniques that will help us recognize how our thoughts, impact how we feel, and ultimately how we respond.
Register for this webinar using this link. You can watch previous episodes and see what’s coming up on the Student and Family Support page of the Park Hill website. Scroll down to Mental Health and Healthy Living, then expand the Family Webinar Series section.
Do you have topics you’d like to see featured in the Family Webinar Series? Please submit your ideas here!
We hope you can join us for the November webinar!

Park Hill STAR Award Nomination
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a Pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee. Anyone can nominate an employee for this award by using the form below. It asks you to share how your nominee demonstrates our district values of continuous improvement, high expectations, integrity, visionary leadership and student focus. You can also share how your nominee supports the goals in our district’s strategic plan.
Spelling Bee
The District Spelling Bee is coming up on Saturday, Dec. 9th, at Park Hill High School. The competition is open to fifth through eighth-grade students. We hope you’ll encourage your student to participate!
The winner of the District Bee competition will move on to the Regional online qualifier, hosted by Mid-Continent Public Library in February. The top 35 qualifiers will move on to the Regional Spelling Bee in March. And the winner of the Regional Bee will travel to the Washington D.C. area to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May!

Visiting and Volunteering at Tiffany Ridge:
Lunch Visits: Parents are welcome to join their students for lunch at school. Lunch visitors must check in at the office. We have a designated area for students with lunch guests to accommodate space for visitors. Lunch visitors may only have lunch with their own children. Any visitors who are not listed as a contact for the student will require advanced permission from the student's parent or guardian. Please contact the office to schedule lunch visits with students.
Volunteers and Pack Parents: We welcome all volunteers into our schools and classrooms, with prior arrangements made with Tiffany Ridge staff. All volunteers who work with our students need to complete background screening by Park Hill. Forms for the screening are available in the Tiffany Ridge office. Volunteers must check in at the office and wear an ID sticker.
