The kids were wonderful and had a blast of a day. We were up against over 10 teams in the Upper Primary (2nd-3rd grade), and over 10 teams in the Elementary(4th-5th grade) divisions. The Lowell Chess Team demonstrated magnificent team work.
Lowell held strong and had a very impressive day with two trophies and a medal:
- Lowell Chess Team, outstanding 4th place (Team category - 4th-5th grade)
- Lowell Chess Team, outstanding 5th place (Team category - 2nd-3rd grade)

- Daniel Schierhorn, tied for 8th place trophy - (4th - 5th grade category)

They all deserved their big day. They did a fantastic job.
