In addition to AP Exams commencing on May 2, we have the start of the Prom/ Ball Season.
Our Senior Ball will be on May 21 at Eagle Vale Golf Club. Our Junior Prom will be on June 11 at Casa Larga. Although we all enjoyed the novelty of our courtyard events last year, it will be nice to be back inside for more formal celebrations in the coming month. More information to follow. Girls Track and Field
The Titans traveled to Irondequoit Wednesday. The girls track team won against West Irondequoit, 75.5-65.5. Ella E. was our double winner, winning both the 100 hurdles and the triple jump. The girls also swept the Long jump (Caroline G, Gianna L and Skyler Kl), shot put (Jane C, Kendall L, Hanna A), discus (Skyler Kl, Hanna A, Kendall L) and triple jump (Ella E, Mady K, Gianna L).
Boys Track and Field
The Titans traveled to Irondequoit Wednesday. The Titans won the meet 89-52. Junior Cory J was a triple winner in the meet taking first place in the 110 High Hurdles, 400 Intermediate Hurdles and Triple Jump. Eric S had his best outing of his Titan career as he won both Shotput and Discus while at the same time, breaking the school record in the Discus with a throw of over 152 feet. Other solid performances were turned in by Senior, Luke W, who took first in Pole Vault for the second straight week and Sophomore, Jerry L who also won the 800 meter race, turning in another strong performance for the second straight week. This win continues the Titans seven year win streak and they look forward to the next challenge as they take on Greece Olympia following the holiday break.
Boys Lacrosse
The Titans Played at Canandaigua Tuesday night and picked up their first loss of the season 11-8. Evan P had 2 goals. Nathan H had 1 goal and an assist. Ethan S 3 goals, Chase G tallied 2 goals. David Phad 1assist. In Goal Owen D made 7 saves in 48 minutes played. The Titans face Brighton at home tonight at 7:45pm
Girls Lacrosse
The Titans played Fairport Monday evening and won 10-9 in Double OT. Goalie Meg S. had a great save with 1;40 left in the Second OT. Freshman Addie S. scored the winning goal with 11 seconds left in the OT. Addie S had 6 goals on the night. Emily R-C had 2 goals. Mya Z had 1 goal and one assist. Maddie Q had 1 goal. Goalie Meg S. had 13 saves in 55 min played.
Boys Golf
Titans Golfers open up the season with a win vs Schroeder and Gates Chili at Brook-Lea CC. Thomas 222, Schroeder 226, Gates 260. 9th grader Owen T was the medalist with a score of 40.
The Golf team played Fairport Wednesday night. They lost the match by 4 strokes. Owen T and Jack R shot a 38. Ryan M had a 41. Evan M shot a 55 and J Stappenbeck had a 49.
Next up for the Titans is a match Thursday vs Irondequoit at Lakeshore CC
Baseball
The boys won at Irondequoit Monday evening 8-4. Nate Z pitched 5 innings with 9 Strikeouts , 3 hits and 0 ERs. Adam Z. and Garret W. each had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Shane T. had 2 hits and 1 RBI Nate Z had a 2 run double . Colby W. had an RBI single. Nick O. pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief.
The Team played at home Tuesday night against the same Irondequoit Eagles. They lost a close one 8-6. Josh B had 2 hits and 1 RBI. Colby W. had 2 hits and 2RBI. James B had a double and a triple with 2 RBIs. Garret W. had a double and 2 RBIs.
Softball
The Titans beat Bishop Kearney 13-0 Monday. Pitcher Maddie H went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and an RBI while striking out 8. Anna B went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs and hit a homerun. Kate McD had her 1st varsity plate appearance hitting a single with 2 RBIs.
Thomas girls varsity softball ran off with the lead late in the game in a 4-1 victory over HFL on Wednesday night. The game was tied at one with the Titans batting in the top of the eighth when Anna B’s sac fly scored the go ahead run. Rose N earned the victory in the pitcher's circle. She gave up zero runs on zero hits over five innings, striking out 12. Emily F went 3 for 3 at the plate while Maddie T went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 runs scored.
Next up for the Titans is a rematch of last year's Sectional Final vs Brighton on the home turf at 7pm.
Boys Tennis
Boys Tennis played Brighton Tuesday night. They lost 7-0
The team faced Harley Allendale Columbia Wednesday night. There were some great points in the match but the Titans fell to HAC 7-0.
