Welcome Back Pence Knights!
What a great first week of school! It was truly great seeing all of our students file into school as we welcomed back our 7th and 8th grade students and spent some time getting to know our 6th grade students. We worked on building our Pence culture through our new advisory period and students have benefited from having a recess or "break" during the day. I feel confident that the positive atmosphere that was felt at Pence during the first week of school will continue throughout the year!
There are several ways to stay informed. I will be sending out a weekly newsletter each week highlighting a few of the "goings on" at our school. Our school website contains many great resources including the school calendar as well as the student handbook (among many other things). We also have our own Facebook and Instagram pages which are linked below.
Most importantly, we find that your student has the best chance of success if it's a partnership between home and school. Please feel free to contact us at any time.
Sincerely-
John Childs

The "Parent Resources" & "Student Resources" tabs are especially useful. I recommend that all Pence families take some time to review the Student Handbook found under Student Resources. It will answer some questions such as:
What is a Positive Referral or a Knight Spotlight?
What is a Broken Pillar?
Is there a Tardy Policy?
Etc...
