Staffing for Next Year

Allocations should arrive by April 1. I wanted to wait for these before sending your preference forms, but I would rather get your preferences sooner than later. Knowing what our projections are, I can only guesstimate what our allocations will be. We are really close in numbers for some grade levels which makes it difficult to be certain. My best guess is that PPCD, PK, K, 2nd and 5th will have the same number of teachers as this year. We will most likely lose one at 1st and 2 at 4th. We should add 1 at 3rd. IF that is accurate, the breakdown will be:

PPCD: 2

PK: 1 Full-time teacher

K: 7

1st: 7

2nd: 8

3rd: 8

4th: 7

5th: 8

We have 3 teachers leaving 5th (Strahan, Weiman, and Decker), one leaving in second (Brown), one in Pre-K (Sledge), and one in PPCD (Leach).

Jeanne Decker is making a move to Dallas, and Ashley Leach is moving to Conroe. Our other four fabulous ladies will be enjoying retirement.

With this information, please complete your preference form (link below). There is a separate form for paras and teachers. If things change after I receive allocations, you may certainly make changes to your preference form. Please complete your form by Friday, March 29.

It is not necessary to fill out this form if you are not a paraeducator or teacher; however, you may certainly share any preferences you have regarding your position through email.

The CFISD Spirit Squad is excited to roll out a new #CFISDspirit Social Media Challenge this week. Please show your #CFISDspirit today through April 1st. Each post on Twitter, Facebook or other social media sites should include the marked “You Pick ‘Em” board (see below and attached), an image depicting the activity in the selected square and the #CFISDspirit hashtag. Employees who send a completed board to cfisdspirit@cfisd.net by April 1st will be awarded a prize!
