CMS Families

CMS Families,

HAPPY FRIDAY. 3rd quarter report cards have been posted to Infinite Campus. The report card link can be located on the left-hand side under the "reports" section. Please review your child's progress with him or her and help them set attainable goals to maintain or improve their academic performance.

Students in grades 4-6 will begin scheduling for the 2023-24 school year starting next week. Our School Counselors will be scheduling students during advisory. If your student is in the 5th grade, start talking to them about picking BAND or CHOIR next year. A scheduling-specific email will be sent home on Monday after the school day.

Enjoy your weekend. 5 school days until SPRING BREAK.

POWER OF THE PEN

Congratulations to Olivia Kennedy and Izzy Dean who participated in the Regional Power of the Pen tournament last weekend at Hudson Middle School. Izzy received a Best of Round Award and the Platinum Pen award for her writing at the District tournament in January. Her story, "9 Lives," will be published in the Power of the Pen Book of Winners. Builders Club Paper Towel Drive

CMS Builders Club is hosting a paper towel drive March 20th-24th for Rescue Village. Rescue Village is Geauga County’s humane society and takes care of animals year-round. Rolls of paper towels are an important resource for Rescue Village as they care for animals in need. In 2021, 315 rolls of paper towels were collected here at CMS and last year we only collected 168 rolls. Builder’s Club has set a goal of collecting 250 paper towels this year!

Each advisory will collect rolls of paper towels all week. The class that collects the most rolls of paper towels will win a free day in advisory. There will be one winner for each grade. Please contact Amanda Weaver amanda.weaver@chardonschools.org if you have any questions.
