Miss Adams' Kindergarten Penguin Rap

Kindergarten Penguin Rap

As many of you may know, we have been studying penguins and writing informational books about them! As a project conclusion, we collaborated with our school's Digital Lead Teacher to create a music video and I am so proud of these amazing Kindergarten Leaders! We worked together to create an original rap song with facts about penguins, then converted it into an entertaining music video. I also want to give a huge shout out to Mrs. Johnson for helping create the penguin costumes! :)

Our next step is to share this video with two first grade classes at Hall Fletcher Elementary School via Skype. These classes will have been studying penguins as well, and we are looking forward to sharing our research and learning from one another.

This project is also just in time for Digital Learning Day, which will be celebrated in schools all across North Carolina on Wednesday, February 17th. I am excited that our Kindergarten Community has had the opportunity to participate in a digital project that has such significance. We are also the first class at Claxton Elementary to have had the chance to work with a green screen. Your children are becoming such great leaders and I look forward to watching them continue to progress!
