Time to fill up your Q2
March 27, 2014
Dear 1st Impressions,
- Studies show that if you have a solid Q2 in terms of booking (and sponsoring if you want to build a team) then you'll have a solid summer as well. We know that the bills don't take a holiday so think a good 90 days out of where you want to be for your business and work towards that. When stylists don't have consistent Q2, they usually don't get their businesses where they really want it until mid-end of September. Plan accordingly and make the moves to reach your goals.
- Read Shirzad Chamine's Positive Intelligence Book. Specifically Chapter 12 page 200 on Sales & Coaching! Or, take the 5 minute test: www.positiveintelligence.com Find out what your Saboteurs are and how to push them away so you can reach YOUR full potential.
- Fill out the "Envision Your Life" worksheet in the Stylist Guide. Plan your dreams and THEN you can follow through :)
- The difference between those who succeed and those who don't is simply ATTITUDE. If you believe you can do it, you will. Don't let your Saboteurs get in your way. YOU own your success so go grab it.
- Hearing "no" is what success looks like!
- Stylists are raising their trunk show sales 16% higher by carrying less items. We don't need 200 pieces on the table. Don't worry about carrying it all. Instead, if you don't have a piece say, "I don't have that piece but when we do your show I'll bring it. We get A-LOT of free pieces." Then walk away. You've just planted a booking AND a sponsoring seed!
- Stand two opp brochures up on the table vs. laying them down. People will pick them up and take a look.
- If it doesn't take your skill and personality, pay someone else to do it. (ie cleaning the house, going to the dump, grocery shopping, accounting, etc.) Be smart and efficient with your time by implementing HVACS (High Value Activities).
- Booking simply comes down to a numbers game. The more calls you make, the closer you'll get to the calendar you want. That's it. So, pick up the phone and CALL. When making your customer care follow up calls if you want to leave a message say something like this: "Hi Annie, it's Carrie. I wanted to follow up and make sure you adore your Crosby Link Necklace. I love that it can be worn dressed up or down on prints or solids. It's such a beautiful, versatile piece. Listen I know you were thinking of some other pieces too so how about we schedule a few hours of fun with your friends so we can finish your look for FREE?! Spring is a great time! Give me a call if you'd like to have a reason to get together with your friends over irresistible style! I'd love to help you get your wishlist for free."

Advice from a book called the Happiness Advantage
Would you like to book some shows, but worried about what people will say? Would you like to make some prospective stylist reach outs, but worried about hearing a no?
DID YOU KNOW:
Did you know that when faced with a challenge, focusing on something that you are good at as you do the challenge will increase your success in that challenge? Years of research have proven…those that focus on a strength will get further. Example: Making Thanksgiving dinner and worried that it won’t turn out? Focus on the fact that you are good at time management and following directions. When I’m making booking calls, in stead of worrying about if I’m going to get a booking or not, I focus on the fact that I’m pretty good at connecting with people on a personal level and what we have in common. When I do this, in the conversation, I usually book more shows. This doesn’t mean to repeat affirmations to yourself, it just mean to focus on something that you are good at. When I make calls and am worried about getting yes’s b/c I need them SOOOO bad, they never come.
So, I ask you, What identity are you wearing today? If you are sporting SELF DOUBT, you are undercutting your performance b/f you even begin.
With this in mind, what will you tackle today? Me? I'm making some sponsoring calls...
